Present Value Formula
Basic Present Value Formula:
PV = FV / (1 + r)^n
Where:
- PV = Present Value
- FV = Future Value
- r = Interest rate per period (as a decimal)
- n = Number of periods
Alternative Formulas:
- Future Value: FV = PV × (1 + r)^n
- Interest Rate: r = (FV/PV)^(1/n) - 1
- Number of Periods: n = ln(FV/PV) / ln(1 + r)
